Plein air painting

Something else I wanted to do more of is sketch outside. There have been three such attempts this summer, all with meager results.

This is a sketch I did at the Atwater market:

I decided I had enough of using lifeless watercolors and I bought Holbein watercolors. Granted, they will not make my sketches perfect - only lots of practice will do that one day - but at least the colors will be livelier.

I could probably continue as I try different techniques, but I think I will stop here for now and find another subject.
