Garbage
After I ate the clementine, I thought why not draw the peel. It was harder than it sounds I must confess.
The first attempt was on a book page - I wanted to see how well it would take washes. It works but the water soaks in the page right away, so wet-in-wet does not work.
I picked a terrible color to draw the shadows in this one - a blue-greenish super strong color. I did not know how to tone it down, so I glued tea bags on top and added more watercolor and pen.
By the time I drew this one, the peel was all dried up.I like the colors in this one and the abstract quality of the shapes.
